Super Easy Detox with Aloe Vera
As we live in this world, we are exposed to harmful toxins everyday. I do my best to avoid them, but sadly it is impossible with food and drink preservatives, artificial dyes, additives, MSG, store-bought cleaning products, cosmetic products, and plastic bottles.
Sweat Treatment
There are some methods to remove the toxins by sweat; infrared sauna, bath with salt and/or baking soda are good ones. I sprinkle some magnesium flakes (or Epsom salt), Himalayan salt and baking soda when I take a bath. If you want to be exact, here is a recipe for the bath salt.
2 cups of magnesium flakes (or Epsom salt)
1 cup of coarse Himalayan salt (or sea salt)
1 cup of baking soda
(I posted the recipe on my Instagram before.)
After this sweat treatment, please make sure that you take a good amount of clean water, not from a plastic bottle, as the body absorbs anything easily afterwards.
Power of Aloe Vera
I recently learned that aloe vera might be effective in removing radiation accumulated in our bodies, then I re-evaluated the benefits of the ancient plants. I grow them in case of sunburn and burned skin, but I never tried to consume the plants I grow.
Aloe vera is rich in vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants, it helps our digestion and bowel movements to remove toxins such as heavy metals from your system.
I then researched aloe vera consumption and found that “aloe vera honey” must be the easiest. To my surprise, aloe vera gel is not bitter at all. Most of the recipes I found on the Internet wash the gels, but I believe the slimy substance is the most beneficial, so I don’t wash them after peeling the skin. The sliminess disappears after a while with honey anyway. I think the honey’s enzyme dissolves it.
How to make Aloe Vera Honey
You can eat it right away, or you can keep it in a fridge for a couple of days (I don’t know how long it lasts because I usually eat it right away or next day). I consume it every week or every other week.
How to grow Aloe Vera
Aloe vera is easy to grow, it multiplies quickly even if neglected. I have divided it several times and given some to my friends. It will be your life-time supply. :)
In the NY climate, I take the aloe vera containers inside during winter, and I rarely water them.
Hope you try growing aloe vera and enjoy their resilient energy!
Love and Light,
Tomoe
